Why should you test your soil? Without a soil test, you are "shooting in the dark" when trying to improve the quality of your lawn, garden or crop. Soil testing can provide important information to help you answer some important questions such as:

• Do I need lime, and if so, how much?

• Do I need fertilizer? How much? Exactly which nutrients are needed?

• How should I adjust the soil pH for optimum growth?

• Does my soil need trace minerals?

• Are certain nutrients too high or low in my soil?

• Do I need to add organic matter, like compost?
